• How secure will my gates be?
It is important to understand that convenience is the main reason for adding automation to any gate and although this does increase security by the fact that it is closed, it is not designed to withstand vehicular impact.

In most instances the gates will withstand personal attack but this is very much subject to leaf length and design. If this is considered a higher security application, supplementary locking may be added or better still an automatic rising bollard.

Rising bollards can be supplied that are capable of stopping a vehicle but are subject to what you want to achieve, obviously the higher the specification the higher the cost.

Sliding gates are normally less likely to be forced open as they are a single leaf held at both ends, again this excludes vehicle impact.
